Luck Be A FABB Lady

In less than a week I'll be attending the 3rd annual LuckyFABB West conference at the swanky SLS hotel in Beverly Hills and while I'm somewhat panicked about what I'm going to wear (hello, stylish fashion bloggers with designer pieces. I'm a suburban mom with a limited budget) I'm also REALLY excited.
Last year I was definitely a ball of nerves not knowing what to expect and only knowing one or two people in real life. I remember being stressed about what to wear and how long it was going to take me to get there and not really being able to enjoy the first day because I kept feeling like I had to get back home and "be there" for my family (side note: they were totally fine without me) and I sort of rushed through the first day.
1st day outfit = nothing majorly exciting

This being my first fashion and beauty blogger conference I had no idea what to expect in terms of content and attendees. I knew everyone would be super fashionable and rocking the latest trends while I was coming off of just having had a baby and working on getting my style mojo back. I was not as comfortable with "owning my look" as I am now (and even still, I have my days). And definitely felt like a fish out of water. Luckily I grew a pair and managed to go up to Kimberly of Penny Pincher Fashion and Jenn of The Stylish Housewife and introduce myself and let them know how I had been both encouraged and inspired by them and they were just lovely. The next day I made friends with Chelsea from She Said He Said, we insta-bonded and from there it was on!

I was truly happy to meet several other blogging babes and we've kept in touch over the last year and I've enjoyed watching them grow. We're all so different but our love of fashion + style is the tie that binds us all together. I can't wait to see all the ladies again. It's always nice to be surrounded by like minded individuals who understand your passion and nod their heads in understanding when you screech because your 4G is hella slow or the WiFi isn't working. And they totally get it when you ask them to take a photo of you + your ensemble and will be sure to zoom in on all the details.

I really cannot wait for this conference and pretty much stalked my email the day the tickets were to go on sale. You have to get invited and because I went last year I was able to snag a prime ticket and will have access to a few more perks! And this year's line up looks like it will be just as amazing and I'm sure the swag will be over the top yet again (be on the lookout for a giveaway mid April) and the connections will be equally as fabulous.  I literally cannot wait!!
Now I just need to put the finishing details on my ensembles!

What are you looking forward to next month?

  1. I hope you enjoy the conference. I'm just looking forward to Easternext month.

  2. Enjoy! I managed to snag an invite, but Cali is sooo not in the budget this year. I'm looking forward to dressing my son up in cute easter gear and posting it to my blog.
