I've been trying to step out of my basic/solid top & pants everyday uniform.
Every so often I've tried to squeeze in a print or stripe just to keep things interesting.
Lately I've had a bit more success as spring is just around the corner and the 'fun' tops are coming out to play.
I spied this perfectly plaid top while out cruising the stores last week. I knew I had to make it mine as it was the perfect shade of cobalt blue with just a hint of pinkish/purple weaving it's way through.
Yes, I realize it's plaid and not really a print per se but it's more than a v-neck or solid tee!
Immediately I thought of at least three ways I could wear it and that was reason enough for me to purchase!
***Confession: I have a huge thing for plaid. Always have. I went through a bit of an obnoxious 'school girl' phase when I wore nothing but a variety of plaid pleated skirts with plain tees and sweaters. (thank you Clueless for the fashion cue) and also a myriad of plaid bodysuits and flannels to even out the look. (yes, it was the 90's) ***
I loved pairing such a structured shirt with the more relaxed fitting boyfriend jeans. The juxtaposition was perfect for a Saturday afternoon shopping trip around our neighborhood shoppes!
Of course I had to punch it up with some hot pink footwear!
